This letter is to provide context to and summarize my career that I’ve enjoyed as an Exploration, Appraisal, and Development Geophysicist.

As my resume site and LinkedIn profile reflect, I have benefited from working a in a wide range of roles, basins, depositional environments, and multi-disciplinary teams since my career began in 2007.

These experiences have allowed me the freedom to develop my skill set as an Exploration Geophysicist, such that I am very comfortable and capable of performing tasks ranging from high-level regional work down to the very detailed field appraisal and development. I have honed my skills in rock physics evaluations, lease sale evaluations, prospect maturation, and operational geology & geophysics in the Gulf of Mexico basin. I also have done my best to retain multiple skillsets ranging from geophysics, geology, petrophysics, and rock physics, that allow me to fluidly solve problems and speak the same technical language as my peers in all roles, allowing for more efficient collaboration.  I’ve also gone to great lengths to improve my intangible “behavioral” qualities, such as communication, leadership, and strategic vision, by taking on roles as subsurface project leader and surrounding myself with the appropriate opportunities to develop these skills (such as my dedication to Impact A Hero 5K non-profit organization where I’ve taken on leadership roles between 2011 and 2017).

My education from the Colorado School of Mines provided me with a solid foundation in Geophysics, Engineering, and problem solving, while my graduate work from the University of Houston provided me with a higher level of understanding of the processes of Petroleum Geology.

My experience as a Geophysicist at Marathon Oil and Equinor has allowed me to combine my education with knowledge learned on the job to achieve high impact results that have benefited the company.
